Women of the world - or at least the U.S. - we're in a lot of trouble.
Apparently, there's some guidelines out there that affect a pre-menopausal women's rights to certain health care because (get this) she may become pregnant. Apparently, the potential health of a potential fetus now outweighs the actual health of an actual living, breathing human being.
My BF has been saying for a while, this is not about abortion or birth control or choice. He's right.
This is about enslaving women. Barefoot and pre-pregnant. Got a ring to it, eh?

Date: 2006-05-17 07:40 pm (UTC)They're not taking into consideration that with the large amount of people living in borderline poverty, most "pre-pregnant" people nowadays cannot afford to take of themselves in the manner these idiots are suggesting, yet alone afford to be having children. I think our society today has more childless adults than ever in history.
