I don't have much to say, to be honest. Lot's of stuff in the personal life happening but what really sticks with me lately is the amazing unrest in the world.
Each day I have a bit of a ritual. I get to work, open up a whole bunch of news and gossip pages and then sip coffee while reading a bit. Problem is, I'm finding what I'm reading to be more and more depressing. For a while, I thought switching to more gossipy stuff, like gawker or defamer might make me feel better than, say, raw story or daily kos. But it doesn't. The world's preoccupation with Britney's "baby bump" (good god how I loathe that term) is somehow scarier than the nutjobs and warhawks we've got in DC.
In other news, I booked flights and a stellar pied a terre for my mom and me for our mini-vacation in DC. I will, of course, not deign to see the aforementioned nutjobs and warhawks. I just wanna see my super secret panda boyfriend, Butterstick.
