Our big Halloween show opens tonight at the Somerville Theater. We get to perform on the same stage as U2 and Talluleh Bankhead! Well, obviously, she won't be with us. Maybe in spirit. U2 won't be either. Duh. But we do have Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band who kicks Bono's smug ass if you ask me.

I should be all sorts of stressed and nervous, especially given my proclivity to such as of late, but I'm not. I'm tooling around on Facebook, eating leftover lasagna and, in general, just happy.

I have such faith in this show, such faith in Rob, Neil, the whole crew, my cast and the cast of War of the Worlds. Yes, this is a big show for us in the Post-Meridian Radio Players. Last year we were in a church basement. This year a big old fancy theater. So we skipped some levels along the way. But we can do it.

This group, the PMRP, they deserve it. In the oodles and oodles of films and plays I've been in, I've never seen a group of people more committed, working harder towards the goal of a great damn show.

And they've pulled it off.

So if you're local to the Boston area or have the urge to fly in from somewhere else in the world, come at 8pm tonight, tomorrow night or at 2pm or 8pm on Saturday. Because this show is worth seeing.

This is unlike anything you've ever experienced before.

The Big Broadcast of 1938 - The Frank Cryano Byfar Hour and War of the Worlds - live on stage at the Somerville Theater in charming Davis Square Somerville.
